Weigh-ins held for Friday’s Borizteca Boxing Show in Ensenada

In Friday’s Main Event at the Gimnasio Oscar ‘Tigre’ Garcia, on the Borizteca Boxing Management Fight Card they’re featuring the light welterweight clash of local favorite Mario “Rocky” Meraz (21-4-0, 17 KOs) of Ensenada going up against Lizandro de los Santos (22-11-0, 9 KOs) of Agua Prieta, Sonora.

Bout #9 featuring Mario “Rocky” Meraz (l) and Lizandro De Los Santos (r) is the evening’s Main Event.
In their co-main event they have Adrian Nunez (3-0-0, 1 KO) going up against Oscar Alexis “Pilo” Canett (5-0-0, 3 KOs) of Ensenada.

The evening’s co-main event has Alexis Pillo Canett (l) of Ensenada taking on Adrian Nunez (r) of Agua Prieta.
In the other co-main event, they have Victor “Sina” Fonseca (8-3-1, 6 KOs) of Tijuana, the son-in-law of the former NABF Flyweight and Super Flyweight Champion Miguel “Maikito” Martinez going up against Juan “El Feroz” Valenzuela (6-4-0, 3 KOs).

In what their calling an old fashion grudge match, the venerable Donnie “Pitbull” Davis (8-27-0, 6 KOs) of Wyoming, Minnesota by way of Topeka, Kansas, a 45 year-old veteran of 13 campaigns, is looking forward to his scrap with 29 year-old Vinnie “American Nightmare” Carita (8-1-1, 8 KOs) from Pembroke, Massachusetts.

The Donnie Davis (l) versus Vinnie Carita (r) should end up being a real donneybrook with even the elbows and heads being used for weapons.

In Bout #2, it will be George “El Bandido” Escalante of Spring Valley, CA (r) taking on Adrian Montes (l) of Mexicali in a light heavyweight bout.
In a super featherweight clash, they have Eric “Young Danger” Jimenez (0-6) of Tijuana challenging Adam Fiel (2-0, 1 KO) of Vacaville, California.
Then, it’s 6’6” Rafael “El Grande” Rios (1-0) of San Diego by way of Tijuana taking on Ensenada’s Román Borquez (1-5-1).

In Bout #4, it will be the big guy, Rafael Rios (r) of San Diego, taking on the little guy, Roman Borquez (l) of Ensenada.
Also on the undercard, they have two lightweights from Ensenada making their pro debut Zeus Valenzuela and Reynaldo Morales.

Bout #3 should be interesting as two rookies will be making their pro-debuts, Zeuz Valenzuela (l) and Ulises-Jimenez (r). (bottom, left) Valenzuela appears to be getting some pointers from two of the show’s hostesses.

As of today, tickets are still available General Admission 100 pesos, Ringside 200 pesos and VIP 300 pesos.
The Gimnasio Oscar Tigre Garcia is located between Avenida Espinoza and Avenida Guadalupe just eight blocks from the hotel at Calle Novena #1367.
