Roman KOs Japanese Champion to win the WBA Super Bantamweight Title

The 5’5″ giant killer, Danny Roman, traveled all the way to Japan to knock off the 5’9½” Super Bantamweight World Champ and did so convincingly.
In what they’re calling the biggest fight of his career, Danny Roman (23-2-1, 9 KOs) delivered a masterful performance by knocking out the much taller WBA Super Bantamweight champ Shun Kubo (12-1, 9 KOs) in the ninth round of their scheduled 12 rounder on Sunday, September the third, to become the new WBA World Super Bantamweight Champion. Confident as ever, the 27-year-old, who lives and trains in Los Angeles, made good on his pre-fight promise to win by knockout.
“I said before the fight that I didn’t intend for this fight to go to the scorecards,” said Roman. “The plan was to knock him out and take the WBA title in a dominate fashion.”

Arriving 10 days before the scheduled fight, Danny Roman stayed true to form by training right up until fight night.

At the weigh-ins on Saturday, September 2, 2017, for the fight on Sunday, September 3rd, Danny Roman looked sensational while his opponent looked…

like he was starving. “Please, eat something!” Roman’s opponent, Shun Kubo, looked as if he had just been released from a nefarious concentration camp.

Danny Roman’s trusty support staff gathers around their champion.
