Last update before Friday’s Domonique Dolton vs Salvador Tapia bout

Everyone is looking forward to this match-up between Domonique Dolton (19-2-1, right) from Detroit, Michigan and Salvador “Changuito” Tapia (7-1, 6 KOs) from Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico. Tepic is the state capital of Nayarit, a Mexican coastal state that has been in dispute between the warring factions of the Sinaloa and the Beltran Leyva Cartels.
In Tijuana, it is now the calm before the storm. All the maneuvering has been done and all the boxers that are scheduled to compete on Friday’s boxing card at the Salon Mezzanine are likely tucked away in bed. You might find one boxer shadow boxing in a hotel hallway, but in reality, nothing more can be done to improve a boxer’s chances of winning except perhaps eating wisely and getting a good night’s rest.
On Thursday, April 26, 2018, at noon, the weigh-ins took place at the Tijuana Boxing Commission’s offices and the last minute medicals were done. The latest Borizteca Boxing Promotions show should get off and running around 8 p.m. on Friday evening.
