C., Mexico will swing open to welcome the many boxing fans on hand to see the latest Velazquez Boxing Promotions, Cruz Sports Entertainment and Mac Pherson Boxing show attendees. In regards to the 16 scheduled bouts, the 32 combatants will be out to prove the man across the ring has no chance in the world of surviving.

Below is the most up to date Bout Sheet plus the many photos that were taken at Friday’s weigh-ins.

On the scale, Ivan Chavela (5-34, 1 KO) from Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico weighed in at 136 lbs. for his fight versus the favorite 24-year-old Hector “Guadana” Garcia from Tijuana.
Hector “Guadana” Garcia (13-7-2, 8 KOs) weighed 131 lbs.
Bout #2, Rafael “Grande” Rios (7-2, 4 KOs) of San Diego, Calif. weighed in at a modest but tight 240 lbs. of muscle.
Rios’ opponent, Misael “Mimoso” Sanchez (11-11-6, 5 KOs) weighed 264 lbs. to battle “El Grande”.
One boxer, Sanchez may have more experience (28 bouts) but the other man “El Grande” is a giant.

The all important bout sheet is below. It may or may not still be altered which is up to the disgression of the Head of Officials and the local Rosarito Boxing Commission.

Stand back when these two gents face each other. Esteban Sosa Vazquez of Tijuana (l) and Matt McKinney of Oceanside, Calif. (r).
The undefeated Jesse Mandapat from Anaheim, Calif. will be going after his second win when facing Julio Cesar Diaz from Mexicali.

Super welterweight Desmond Horne messed up in his Pro Debut but swears that was just a hic-cup and it won’t happen again.

Horne’s opponent is the suave, debonair Senor Rodolfo “Osama” Manriquez (291406) of Tijuana.
Even though his opponent was a no-show at Friday’s weigh-in, Donnis Reed remains positive that his opponent Jorge Eduardo Rios would show up in time for their fight. (photo, left) When Reed approached the scale, it appeared he had gone into one of those inner peace, contemplative, transcendental meditations.
The patient Promoters and Rosarito Boxing Commission waited longer than usual and were able to take care of the additional stragglers which included the well known Adan Gamboa of Tijuana who will be facing San Diego’s Miguel Sanchez. Plus one of the parents weighed his impressionable son who can now dream of someday boxing for a world title.
