Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Bob Arum, Alex Ariza all pointing fingers

“And that your Honor, is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth,” so says Hall of Fame Boxing Promoter Bob Arum.
Who’s to blame for the Megafight not happening?
It looks like it’s that time again. Time to restart the great debate of boxing or pull the scab off a controversy that just won’t go away. Somebody has been lying to us.
Who can we trust in this war of words? Bob Arum? Floyd Mayweather? Or the always trustworthy Alex Ariza?
At this point, it looks like all parties are stretching the truth. They might just be going through the motions to once again jumpstart the hype for this fight. As they say, “You stir up the waters, and you catch the fish” or in this case the fishes. What you need to do is stop everything you’re doing. Nothing else matters but you jumping on this bandwagon. Stop the wars in the Middle East; stop worrying about Global Warming. Forget the need to complete your Income Tax Return. These guys need your help and the only way they can get it, is to get you to believe the current bull crap.
On The Sports Show, Thursday, January 22, 2015, the Boxing legend Bob Arum joined Les Shapiro and Woody Paige to talk about the possibility of a boxing match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao coming to fruition. Arum said they had agreed to everything, signed off on everything and sent the documents along to the “A” side.” That’s what Mayweather Jr. calls his unique position as the top dog, the main power broker, the champion. Listen for yourself.
Through a media blitz, Bob Arum wants (probably expects) boxing fans to rise up and call their “people” to reach the other “people” through their Internet connections to urge Floyd Mayweather Jr. to “sign the freaking contract”. It’s very similar to those Telethons you see on PBS. Either donate your car or truck or what ever you can.
With Manny Pacquiao out promoting his documentary, he’s had to answer the direct questions from people like the Today.com staff, “Yes, we have agreed to all the terms and yes, we signed all the contracts. We’re now just waiting for Mayweather to sign the contract.”
Or should we believe the Exercise and Nutrition expert Alex Ariza? At one time he was on the other side of the fence, working closely with both trainer Freddy Roach and boxer
Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.
In reality, it’s gotten to the point, where the 37 year-old Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0-0, 26 KOs) can not back out of the fight with 36 year-old Manny Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KOs). At this point, he’d have to do a lot of explaining.
Paulie Malignaggi’s take on the fight as per an interview with the great one Elie Sekbach of ESnews reporting.com: “My sources say it’s a done deal. With Pacquiao being a smaller man, Floyd is just going to start beating on him and then walking him down. Floyd will end up dominating ala the way he did to Zab Judah and Victor Ortiz. It will probably end on points.”
Elie Sekbach: “What do you think the headline is going be on May 3rd, Sunday, the day after the fight?”
Malignaggi: “People are going to say the fight was a dud. I think this guy Manny Pacquiao was cheating. I think we’d know that if there was random blood testing five years ago. He gave us the illusion that he was something that he wasn’t. And now we’re going to see who he really was. I don’t think this fight was ever that good.”
So, there you have it. Now everyone get to work!
