Garcia vs Rodriguez headline Muaythai Mayhem at the Sheraton Hotel

With two Pro matchups, the first featuring Francisco Garcia from the local Valor Fight Club in National City and Charles Rodriguez of Concord, Calif. battling for the WBC MuayThai Title plus a slew of Amateur standouts defending their WCK titles, Dennis Warner & In Sync Productions, Inc. returns to the Four Points By Sheraton Hotel to entertain the locals with more thrilling Muay Thai action.

(l to r) In the Main Event they have Charles “The Rockstar” Rodriguez (9-2, 2 KOs) who trains in Concord, Calif. and fights for Team Tsutsui; online he is listed as the California State Champion. He will be taking on the very tough Francisco Garcia from the Valor Fight Club of National City, Calif.

(l to r) In the Co-Main Event they have Sovankesa Som from Long Beach, Calif. taking on fellow pro, Alex Higley from Encinitas, Calif., the owner/operator of Fit4Life San Diego and Higley Martial Arts with locations in Carlsbad and Sorrento Valley. The Sorrento Valley facility recently took over the Rock Steady Boxing Program for people suffering from Parkinson’s Disease.

On the undercard in no particular order, you have:

(l to r) Jonas Carrera (134.6 lbs.) from the Art of Eight Training & Fitness Center located in Kearney Mesa, San Diego, Calif. Carrera will be going up against 26-year-old Alan Smith (130 lbs.) from Steel MMA in Tierrasanta, CA.

(l to r) Defending WCK champ and 18-year-old phenom, Jordon Huber (119.4 lbs.) from the UFC Gym, Mission Valley will face the formidable 25-year-old Felipe Aparicio (5-1-1, 119 lbs.) from the powerhouse Steel MMA gym.

(l to r) 37-year-old Geraldine Cabrera (1-1, 139.6 lbs.) from Steel MMA in Tierrasanta, San Diego, Calif. is set to face 32-year-old Melissa Sifuentes (0-1, 138.8 lbs.) from SWAMA Martial Arts in Imperial Beach, Calif.

(l to r) 23-year-old Rezekiel Dulaney (4-1, 170.6 lbs.) from USKO Riverside, Calif. will be going up against 31-year-old Gabriel Pizzaro (166 lbs.) from The Arena in Point Loma, San Diego, Calif. A few years back, Pizzaro was the man to beat and now it appears he is mounting a serious comeback.

Also on the fight card: (left) 25-year-old Victoria Beltran (139.2 lbs.) from SWAMA Martial Arts of Imperial Beach, Calif. taking on Amber Sarkissian who missed Friday’s weigh-in and 36-year-old Chad “Smash” Berry (160 lbs.) from 8 Tribe Muay Thai who trains at the Self Made Training Facility in Point Loma, San Diego, Calif. Berry is set to face Phiream Sok who also missed Friday’s weigh-ins. Berry suffered major injuries to his hands while hiking, and he is just now returning to action after a six-month layoff.

25-year-old Carlos Romero from Victory MMA, Point Loma (354.4 lbs.) is scheduled to face Daniel Esparza who missed Friday’s weigh-ins.

(photo left) Hoping to get matched is the 29-year-old Jesse Sirisack (1-0, 118 lbs.) who is with the Parusa Muay Thai Team which trains at the UFC Gym in Mission Valley. Sirisack, who has been training for two years, weighed in at 118.4 lbs. (right) Jorge Gamez from Steel MMA in Tierrasanta. Gamez is scheduled to fight Jonathan Maciel Reyes Garcia from Mexicali, B. C., Mexico, who also missed Friday’s weigh-ins.

Also, Sweet Baby James Gregory (147.2 lbs., 38-years-old) from the Art of Eight is set to face Jefferson Banaag who missed Friday’s weigh-in.
